What's your opinion on this old school routine called 20-rep squats?
The idea is to do only one hard set every few days. Warm up, do a few lighter sets and then you do the work by squatting 20 reps with the waight you used to do around 10 reps with. Each time you reach 20 you add 5-10 pounds next time. The idea is to rest as long as you need between reps. I've got some nice gains from it starting from 180 pounds x 20 and reaching 245x20 in under 3 months. I've been getting heavy doms every time regardless of the small amount of combined work load.
Sure if your a chick.... otherwise have fun with that. I do sets of 10 and as long as your not half repping that's a fuck ton couldn't imagine more then that perhaps if you drop the weight Down to baby. But again are you a female
Alan Thrall talked about this once - he said for him, it made him good at squatting for sets of 20 and it helped a bit with carryover to strongman but it actually did very little to increase his total strength (1RM)
Seems like a good idea if you want to build endurance and overall toughness of the mind and body. Might also be nice if you need something new. From what he talked about it doesn't seem -ideal- for building size or strength.

OP here, im a guy, not really bodybuilding oriented but like to stay fit. I wrazzle and 20 reps has been good for strength endurance for intensive sets like scrambling for takedowns etc. Like you said it's not really that good for 1RM but has worked well for fatique resistance. Hard on the mind and somewhat on maximal oxygen uptake. It feels fucking good knowing you only have one set regardless of how terrible it is.
What is the ultimate sets/reps for sluts?

So it's just progressive overload with sets of 20 instead of 5/8/12 or whatever. It's personal preference not some voodoo magic - I'd rather blow my brains out than squat for reps.
