This area in the circle is a muscle or tendon or something that if I push on I can feel exactly where the problem is.

I woke up about eight months ago with this problem. Been to the doctor twice about it and he's been basically worthless and just suggests rest and trying not to use my right arm for anything until it gets better.

Problem is; I didn't lift for almost 2 months and it still happens.

If I lift my arms like in shoulder press I can feel it tighten up in this area and if I do over the head dumbell tricep curl ( I thought it was skull crusher or pull overs) it locks up.

It locks up or tightens in that area pretty strongly, almost like a cramp of sorts but it eases up really fast.

The pain isn't the hardest part but it's limiting my full RoM and gets frankly annoying because it affects how I sleep since I usually put my right arm under my pillow. (probably how I injured it)

I'm just looking for ideas of anyone who went through this and what I can do to help or fix it.

I just wanna lift again.

I'm terrible, it's lower than the red circle more like this green circle in the middle of the green circle.

do rotator cuff exercises 3 times a week and work on your shoulders with movements that don't hurt
>>
That's roughly the origin point of the biceps brachii. Could be tendinitis or tendonosis.

force yourself to move it around, stop just before the pain gets unbearable.

>>40110913 that movement's probably your best bet.

Apply liniment or icy hot to the area.

Repeat until healed, it sounds like you tore a muscle imo OP.

Nobody here has any idea, OP. If the doctor you're seeing is a GP, then you're wasting your time. Go to an Orthopedist or a Physical Therapist who can evaluate your musco-skeletal structure and find out what's causing the pain.

GPs are complete shit

I had an ingrown toenail that was so bad it was constantly infected, I went to my GP twice who gave me antibiotics and told me to dig it out myself.
The third time I went I saw a different GP and demanded a referral to the orthopedic surgeon. The specialist took one look at it and asked if I wanted to do the op today or schedule another day, when he took it out the thing was like an inch into the side of my foot and like 4mm thick, gnarled and spiky. He said there was absolutely no way I could've gotten that one out by myself.

Let me add in i'm a poorman who's insurance just got worse this year and now I have $700 I have to pay out of pocket for any medical stuff before they cover it. *WEW*

I'll look into a cheaper one somewhere if some of these stretches don't help at all.
>>
>>40111116
I had one like that once but I just cut the skin back a little and used needle nose pliers (soaked it all in antiseptic first) I yanked out a solid and thick spiked nail. That was some pain I tell you.

>getting sad over a $700 deductible
Bro I have a $3,000 deductible, and I find a way to make medical bills get paid. Pretty much every office lets you set up payment plans. Don't bother with the stretches until you've been cleared to do so by a professional; 8 months is a chronic condition and 4chan is a terrible place to get advice from.

Yeah they just gave me some local anesthetic

I watched him do the surgery, pretty interesting stuff. He took a knife and scraped off all the infected and swollen flesh, then took some nail scissors and ran them up the nailbed about a quarter inch away from the defined edge all the way to the base. He got some pliers and lifted the ingrown portion nail up, ran under it with some giant clippers all the way to the base of the nailbed and used all his strength to clip it.

It sounded like when you cut a sheet of construction paper.

OP do lateral raise 3x10 and face pulls 3x12-15. Focus on low weight and good form. It sounds like you have a rotator cuff injury. You need to strengthen your anterior delt. Stretch the chest and shoulder before entering the gym. if you can't perform those lifts without pain you need to wait before stepping back into the gym.

OHP will helps strengthen the delts in general but proper form is really key otherwise you will fuck yourself up harder. Go slow on each rep with low weight and really inspect your form until you perfect it, then move up.

Don't sleep on that shoulder and don't put that arm up behind your pillow at night. It strains the rotator cuff while you sleep(this is annoying at first but you get used to it). Just keep doing what I said above and you will recover and be fine. Keep those two lifts a part of your normal set though to keep the delts strong.

Also to add to this, the more you think about it the more it will seem like it hurts and become more problematic. I would always think things like the way I sat or typed or was walking was affecting it and it was annoying as fuck. Just chill and work towards getting stronger and it healing.
>>
Hey OP try stretching your pec minor - doorway stretch (google it)
