Hey guys what kind of workout and diet should I do to prepare myself for High School Wrestling? Like morning workouts.

Lots of cardio. Also you absolutely need to have a low bf% and be willing to cut 5 pounds of water weight every match to be wrestling at your optimal weight class.

Man, when I did wrestling in high school they always had us do crazy amounts of cardio. Probably did more cardio than spending time in the weight room.

Cardio and lift do hill sprints for cardio and clean your diet up if I knew what I knew now about eating I would've been so much better off while cutting during wrestling in high school

It might seem stupid but it's actually super important in a 6 minute match. It almost always comes down to conditioning so long as there isn't enough of a skill gap for it to end in pin.

technique and getting mat-time is most important, but you probably already know that

cardio - hill sprints, prowler work, get your 2-mile time down to ~12 minutes

strength training - should revolve around heavy pulling motions like deadlifts and chin-ups, and explosive movements like power cleans

don't fucking cut weight (more than 5 lb) unless you are good enough to wrestle at the collegiate level. it's not worth it

Wrestling was the hardest sport I've ever done. Our coach the first week had us run until ten kids puked. I bet 75% of the kids quit after that week. Then you run and run up stairs then run some more. If you're lucky and only dropping 5-7 pounds you're running in shorts and a regular shirt. If you're dropping more weight you're in sweats and maybe even a garbage bag while running. Then you wrestler for a little bit then you do sprints. Wrestling in my area took a lot of commitment to be even a little competitive. You have to commit 100% to do it or you're wasting everyone's time.

I suggest SS to start with. You need to be stronk to wrestle. You can worry about conditioning and cutting weight once you've gotten the easy LP gains out of the way

Do some kind of SS/LP thing off-season and bulk a bunch so you can grow; conditioning/cardio stuff should be prioritized more during the season. Cardio is still important off season though, since it's the best thing you can do to feel less miserable during tough practices. Also always cut weight the right way cus if you don't eat enough in high school / don't get proper nutrition you'll end up short.

Calisthenics and cardio, you have to be able to endure that entire match, it's not a make yourself a sandwich type of 6 minutes. Once you have those two, all it comes down to is technique which your coaches will teach you.
