Who here /winter slump/ lads?

I was making solid gains all year, even through December, running 4 10Ks a week but this January I can barely do 5 miles at a time.

Is it the deep cold? The heavier winter meals? Lads how do I break the slump?

Do you run all the time the same distance at the same speed? Maybe it is time to increase your program complexity to see more gains.
See it as if you reached the end of your linear progression.

I always run worse or not at all in the winter.

I've been running to my gym, which is about a quarter mile away, for a couple months now. Past week or two I've been running on a treadmill for a mile before my workout, too. Feels good, man. More energy, happier, and noporn is way easier.

Training outside, maybe going for a half marathon.

Glt my first marathon in October. Any recommendations on a lifting/marathon program? At the moment I'm doing an Alex Viada plan which has me doing 4x runs and 4 x lifting workouts
