I'm looking to start including some HIIT into my weekly routine, but I'm not sure where to start. If anyone has some beginners, intermediate, and even advanced HIIT routines (preferably, something I can do either in my apartment or outside on the street or in my apartment complex's parking lot) that would be most appreciated.

Side note: I'm looking for more running/sprinting type exercises than body squats and stuff

run, jog, run, jog. repeat in 1 minute - 30 second - 1 minute - 30 second fashion for a total 15 min. Place flour in a big bowl of syrup and mix well. Then do 5 wallstands while completing GOMAD and shouting, "MARK PLEASE NOTICE ME".
Oh and be sure to get 8 hours of sleep per day.

One minute sprints?
What the fuck?
No, 20-30 second full energy no bullshit sprints is the norm.
A full minute at that intensity is either madness or you're not doing hiit.

Tabata intervals. 20 seconds as fast as you can, 10 rest. Repeat for 4 minutes.

Tabata is great. Measure your success by the lowest amounts of reps you did in a round, and you've got a pretty interesting game.
Really, just choose any 2 or 3 big, compound movements, choose reps and weights, and cycle through them as many times as you can in a certain time frame, like 15 minutes. One of them can be sort of a rest movement, like running or something. Like:
20 minutes, as many rounds as possible.
1 round =
15 225# Deadlifts
10 135# PushPress
400m Sandbag carry, as heavy as possible.
You can adjust the weight or reps however you like, go heavier on deadlift, lighter on push press, whatever. Ultimately what matters is getting a good heart rate and pushing yourself really hard. You'll get growth, you'll get strength, you get conditioning.
(god help me)
Crossfit actually has a lot of creative and fun HIIT exercises. I know you guys might not know this, but that's mostly what Crossfit is, not just flailing. It's actually pretty fun. Workout I posted above is a pretty Crossfit-ey workout, I want to do it now.
I go to the local track and walk the curves and sprint the straights for like 8 laps...at first it was all I could handle but I'm thinking about upping the amount
