substitute squatting with? The reason of my question is simple: I lift at home and I don't have money for a squat rack. I know that I can try and to do a OHP and from there lay the barbell on my back, but the whole process is dangerous and gets more dangerous with the amount of consecutive repetitions. I read on /fit/ that deadlifting already stresses most of the muscles that squatting does, if this is true: what would you advise me to substitute squatting with besides deadlifting?

Get some 2x4s and make a pair of uprights yourself. It will cost 20$ or less.
bicycle sprints will build quads like no other, especially if you do them on a 12%+ grade hill
rear foot elevated split squats

Going to a Gym implies a lot of time something most people don't have.

I don't have any building skills and I'm a
college student - meaning, I don't have the tools either.

That's no better than a squat. How would I get the barbell on my back?
