High in sugar, only good while hiking when you're not eating a lot.
>>40056658
nigga, why aren't you eating this?
I used to buy them in bulk. Good for long outdoor things where you need to carry calorie dense energy snacks
I have them as a backup breakfast if I wake up late and don't have time to make eggs.
The sugar is a dealbreaker for some but the fibre and protein is there, along with some vitamins that are hard to come by elsewhere. I have about one a week.

crossboard /out/ & /fit/ here
they're good at what they're designed for- simple energy in a dense package. much of it is actually secondary production stuff, like the mash from brewing etc. this doesn't mean it's bad- in fact the sugars are more broken down and better for when you're already moving and working hard. i usually go for a banana if it doesn't have to survive in my bag
i usually lurk the bargain stores until i find the lara bar version (more hippie-dip approved). less refined ingredients and less ingredients total. those things saved my ass on a 22hr day- summit ascent and canyoneering descent down to miles of dense oak woods. 13mi total, hitting 10k ft at summit, 4k ft at the car. my partner wasn't keeping up with his calories and nearly got hypothermia when we had to swim gear across a glacier-fed creek in the canyon. i hate cold water but looks like i handle it pretty well
>tldr: they're good for packable intraworkout energy, but there are healthier options if you hunt for deals
I like to make my own tumblr fag cookies that taste better than those

If you're not handing from a cliff, don't eat Clifs.
