Mixed Kiwinigga here. Dropped 11kg over 3 months post relationship breakup aiming for another 3 before I end this cut.

First cut of my life, I've been lifting for maybe 6 years without a set routine or diet, I usually just show up the gym and decide what I want to do, more often then not it's heavy compounds. Kind of wish I hadn't neglected isolating abs all those years though.

Best thing about losing weight is losing weight in the face, girls are extremely bad at judging attractiveness when it comes to non-white guys so I can punch well above my weight with a decent body and the dark skin.

Yup, it's real. I guess my diet is pretty clean. I don't ever eat at restaurants (all my food is prepared at home, and all ingredients are weighed). I did cut out alcohol, just because I see it as empty calories. However, I ate plenty of tasty food. Cheeseburgers with turkey bacon, mashed potatoes, and green beans, flatbread pizzas with prosciutto, mushrooms, spinach leaves, sun-dried tomatoes, and a variety of cheeses, breaded fish fillets with asparagus and brown rice, marinated chicken breast or seasoned pork loin with butter beans, carrots, and hominy, etc. I'm a big believer in eating food that you enjoy, as long as it provides the right number of calories and macro ratios. I think my results are due to consistency -- I ate the same number of calories every single day (1,500), with the exact same macro ratios (45% protein, 30% fats, and 25% carbs).

It's always a good idea to cut down to a really lean state before bulking, so keep at it. Make sure your protein intake is high and you're lifting heavy (to preserve the muscle mass you already have). Once you hit ~10% BF, start a lean bulk.

I kind of phased diet sodas out slowly so instead of 3 a day I was drinking one every two or three days, then when I read that study on testosterone I cut it out completely.
The rough part was getting rid of the sweetener in my coffee. I'm still drinking 3 cups a day but switching from a 2-2 to one cream is rough.

I can cut out cocaine and nicotine, but god damn if sugar and sweeteners weren't the hardest to kick.

Well, to some extent, that's just my nature... When I get an idea in my head, I'm like a dog with a bone, and I just don't let up. I decided that consistency was a key factor in getting the results I wanted, so I created a diet/workout routine that I could follow each day and just committed myself to sticking to it. I like to take the "thinking" out of it -- I have a schedule that I follow, and a lot of what I eat is the same each day. My dinners are always different, but they're all planned out well ahead of time and it's just a matter of choosing ingredients that meet my calorie/macro quota for that night's meal. Organization is also important to me. Every Sunday, I pre-measure all my supplements and put them in stacking containers and pill boxes that I can just grab in the morning and take with me to work (pic related). I use the FitNotes app to check off the exercises in my lifting routine as I do them each day. All of this might seem like a lot of work, but it takes all the stress out of it for me. I don't have to think about what I need to eat, I don't track calories (because I already know how many I'll be eating that day), and I don't worry about fitting everything into my schedule on a given day. It's just a matter of following the routine, just like the day before. My desire for results keeps me dedicated to my routine, and once you get used to it and make it a part of your life, it's not really all that difficult at all. Just keep your eyes on your goal, and it'll all be worth it. Hope that helps! Oh, and I haven't done a single cardio workout since I started. Cardio is unnecessary for weight loss, and my heart health is fine.

I come here to share my progress, encourage others, and provide advice based on my own experience. I'm sorry that seems to bother you so much. Anyway, your opinion of my physique (and my trip) means very little to me, as I try not to pay too much attention to people whose sole purpose on this board seems to be the harassment of others. I also stand behind my statement because it's true -- cardio is unnecessary for weight loss. I think my results show that pretty clearly. A caloric deficit results in weight loss. Whether you choose to create that deficit by running on a treadmill or simply skipping that piece of chocolate cake is up to you. The end result is that you're burning more calories in a day than you consume. My blood pressure is well below 120/80 and my resting pulse is 57 bpm, so my heart is in great shape. I don't enjoy cardio, so I just focus on lifting and eating a well-balanced diet. If someone chooses to do cardio, then that's great, and they're welcome to do so. It certainly has its benefits. However, it is not a requirement for weight loss.
