I used to think squats were overrated until I got stuck in a fuckface town and decided to become a homegym master.
Barbell squats, not even heavy squats, have made my legs so much bigger and look so much better. You really do just have to learn how to do them right and then gradually increase the weight OP. Stop being gay OP. You're so fucking gay OP. Squat already.

I use to only do leg press and other machines for legs when I went to a local gym for several years.
Bought a home gym to save travel time and all Ive had access to for legs is squats, legs are far more developed since ive only been squatting. Haven't touched a leg press or machine in ages and my legs are very very nice.

I'm 6'4" with long af femurs. Wide stance improved it a little bit but still far from optimal. Still leaning too much forward hurting my lower back. Now I put my heels on babby plates, like half an inch thick, and it's night-and-day, squats actually feel natural now. Been doing them for 2 months now and the leg gainz are going great. Even when I do like half of the weight I used doing leg presses, the workout is way more intense.

Stretch your shins, use wider stance (despite what memers from here might say, wider stance doesn't somehow deprive you of gains). Or just buy yourself oly shoes.
As long as you go to parallel, you are golden. You can work your ass afterwards using goodmornings or straight leg pulls.
