Out of curiosity, how much weight do you guys use on the lat pulldown and cable row? I'm a bit stronger than the average normie but I only use about 40-45kg( 88-99lbs) on the lat pulldown and about 35-40kg( 77-88lbs ). I see people that don't look very strong doing 55kg or more.

as with all lifts and all machines, its easy to cheat these ones. someone can put more weight up with shitty form and end up with less targeted muscle activation and less gains than someone on lower weight but better form and focus

Saw someone doing pretty high weight but not really doing proper form the other day.
Squeeze your lats at the insertion point just under your armpit or you're not doing it right.
Saw someone the other day with wrist straps pulling 240 down for 5 reps. The kid probably weighed 225. Not sure why he couldn't just do pull ups.

Its only about form, i can rep out more above bw pulldowns than chinups. If i really want to hit lats i squeeze out 55kg for 10, but 80 for 5, and the difference is barely visible
