They're not terrible, especially if you hold your last rep of your heaviest set for as long as you can. If you want to improve grip strength, farmer walks are good, so is supersetting a pull with a static hold (like just hanging from a pullup bar) and squeezing it as hard as you can. Other than that, hammer grip curls and chinups and wrist rollers are good.

'snapping hip' has been bugging me for ages as part of the constellation of hip issues I've been having, and I found a post of his on t-nation where he explains the relationship between snapping hip (perceived as hip flexor pathology by most people) to actually be ITB related.

So I rolled the shit out of my ITB with a lacrosse ball and my hip felt better than it had in months. He also has a really good explanation of femoral anterior glide which explains a lot to people who think they always have tight hip flexors

I'm not smart enough to give an informed opinion on that honestly. My gut reaction is to say if you have problems with technique it might help for a couple weeks but I think you'd adapt to that input pretty quickly and end up unconsciously blocking it out.
If you were really mindful about it it might continue to help but I'd say benefits to kinaesthetic awareness or proprioception would be pretty minor either way.

A beginner for Sheiko is someone who's starting to actually compete in powerlifting and has some decent stats. He has the table somewhere on his forum.

Basically, it's something to do after TM. Though it can replace TM if the trainee did SS for a long time and squeezed all the linear gains out of it as much as possible.

It is true. There's also the law of relative-son-strength that guarantees no matter how yoked your kid gets, you will always be stronger.

I played around with it like 5 years ago or so. But I got annoyed that I wanted to rate everything correctly and after rating like a fuckton of albums I went back looking and realised I'd change the ratings on almost everything.

So I said fuck it and deleted it before I lose my mind kekk

I also had a friend back then that was really into the noise scene as well and he kept telling me to delete social media cause "it's not the true community, make music instead".

I have recorded some things, a long time ago. I loved playing drone but my keyboard literally caught fire one day and I've never fixed it or bought a new one... Also did noise with the keyboard and the guitar, and played around with glitch ambient on fruity loops.
Even had a collab song with a japanese musician that's part of the scene there, but mostly just works as support instrumental for other musicians. Nothing major though, met him through my friend and we just did something in a few hours for fun that never got released anywhere. He ripped a bunch of rare CDs to mp3 for me though, cool guy.

I once played a song with Hermeto Pascoal, in case you've heard of him before. One of the most exciting moments of my life. He's the funniest dude on the stage, takes breaks between songs to tell stories of when he was younger and met X or Y. Sometimes get carried away and even forgets he's doing a concert hahaha.

Oh god this shit pisses me off. My PERFECTLY ACCEPTABLE Rogue Belt wasn't on the IPF List of Approved Bribed Payers, so I ordered a Best Belt in December, as they WERE on that list, and that list was explicitly valid until the end of 2018. Now, in 2017, they are NOT on that list.

I checked with the director of the meet I'm signed up for in April, and she checked with the "state chair" and said that the Best Belt would be allowed at local and state level meets. It was left unsaid, but I take that to mean it's not allowed at national meets or whatever.

There is no good reason to have shit legal at the local level and not at a national level. It defeats the purpose of using local meets to qualify for national meets.

Fuck these people. I'm going to do the one meet I'm signed up for, qualify for national meets, do exactly one of those to say I did it, and never fucking deal with these idiots again.

Aside from powerlifting, I've dealt mostly with rugby and golf. I'm sure that, at a pro level, rugby players have to wear the equipment their team tells them to due to sponsorship deals and shit, but then those teams actually PROVIDE the players with that equipment.

I played at a middling college level. I bought my own shoes and mouth piece, the team supplied the jerseys (though we kept losing shorts and on more than one occasion I just played in gym shorts). The ref didn't care about any of this as long as your shoes didn't have a toe cleat.

As an individual sport, golfers have a lot of freedom to choose what equipment to use. I am 99% sure there is no exclusive "approved equipment list," just a list of specifications that clubs have to meet, and I recall the USGA providing a list of wedges known to conform to the new-at-the-time wedge specifications. The clubs were not on that list because they paid to be, and clubs weren't off that list because they didn't pay, AND conforming clubs not on that list would be allowed. Because golf isn't run by syphilitic gibbons.

And when they did change the specifications for wedges (it had to do with the grooves in the clubface causing what they considered to be too much backspin out of the rough, making shots out of all but the nastiest rough rather trivial), they gave a year notice about it so that people who had just bought a wedge didn't have to buy another immediately. Well, a year notice for pro competitions, it was two years or something for amateur competitions, which was stupid and a pain in the ass as most amateurs who would give a shit about those rules also play in low level pro tournaments.

Still, a thousand times more competent than the IPF

i haven't been for this particular issue, but other issues in the past. i'll just take a week or so off of pressing and proceed from there. maybe even continue sheiko but for squat and and dl only and just do bro work instead of bench. i'll see if dumbbells hurt
