What I typically do is throw them in a crock pot, in vegetable broth. I cut up a lemon and throw that in there too. And then I usually add rosemary and thyme, you know, because of that song.

Healthy amount of pepper, oregano, garlic, sprinkle salt and paprika. I suppose you can add sprinkles of thyme or rosemary. Also, just straight butter and sage leaves are pretty good with some pepper

Spice does not matter if y'all ain't brining the meat. Start doing that and everything tastes so much better.

I like to hit it with equal portions of salt, pepper, sage, onion powder, garlic powder, and sometimes some curry powder when I'm feeling extra heretical.
