So whenever I need a push, I have this exercise that I do. I'm a chronic traveler and one of the first issues I ran into was cost. I make enough that I never have to check what's in my bank account, but I'm no millionaire. But I saw people left and right say "That's like a 1.5k ticket, no way I can go" and just drop it. A girl I was dating was like that about a trip to Italy. So as a date I took her to Barnes and Nobles and we grabbed a couple books on Italy and sat in the cafe. I had her write out all the thing she HAD to do if she went to Italy. Then I wrote out all the costs, found alternatives and discounts, then I totaled it out. Still a good 2.5k, (her list was dumb, you could go for near half that and still have a good time). Then she wrote out her budget and looked at her income. If she stuck to it, cut out alcohol and cooked at home, she could be in Rome in three months. And she was. A simple budgeting exercise worked so terrifically and made the "impossible" possible. Now I do it whenever I feel stuck, the cost and budget might not be in dollars but the result is the same. It makes things feel achievable and really puts the emphasis on where I can put effort to make things happen. It also lets me know when my I fell short of my goal because of my being lazy or distracted. Everything is harder and more complicated when you look at it from the outside.

Yeah, I am actually quite educated with the problem.

The things is, 99% of the docs prescribe the wrong hormones.
And a good amount of them is also hooked to shitty labs that don't test the value correctly.
And then they also don't know where to properly keep the value (it should be <1, but some docs accept terrible values of 3 and beyond).

It's sad when you think about it - so many people getting fucked over because they work with non-ambitious docs that never had any interest in further educating themselves beyond school medicine.

I've been fat since I was about 10. I can make a hundred excuses for it, I was raised in a tough area and was beaten up and socially rejected at 9 when I was with some 'tough guys' and I hid, I put myself in my room and found friends online and comfort ate. I slowly gained weight until I went to Secondary School (UK). I started playing rugby, met intelligent people and also joined the Army Cadets (JROTC) which kept my weight from sky rocketing, but I still hid all the time, ate all the time. But I'd like to share some secrets, because this teacher in this post has put her student doesn't eat at school.

I used to steal money from my mother in the mornings before she woke up, from her purse, a few £. I would then cycle home from school, picking up a mound of the biggest fast food I could for the amount of money I would take. I would hide that in my backpack. I would then storm to my room as quick as a dash at home and hide the food in my room. I would then wait downstairs until my parents weren't suspicious about me hiding in my room before I would go back to my room and stuff myself.

I would hide sweets in my blazer, and excuse myself to the loo in class to eat. I would 'earn' money for doing basic chores around the house at the weekend and then go to the shop and buy candy, I would then sit in the park and eat on my own.

I was ashamed, I knew it was wrong. But it got me through a bad time and I thought it was my friend. It is NOT your friend. It will never be the last chocolate bar, the last takeaway. I like to think I have grown a little stronger, but even now, If I'm stressed after work, or I have a fight with my partner... I will find myself, headphones in, half-aware walking to the shops for something sweet to eat.

The cold hard truth is sugar and food is an addition. Like an alcoholic, I cannot eat crap or I will not stop. I need help.
