What clothes show off gains?
>>
>tight fit
>sleeves short enough to end in your tricep
>>
>>39998342
i just wear a singlet everywhere.
>>
Fitted t-shirts are always nice, if the sleeves are too big it makes your arms look puny. Plus a fitted shirt shows off your chest and drapes over your lower torso which looks great.

People here will call me a fag but I like fairly skinny jeans too. Unless you have xboxhueg quads (which some people do, props) a "slim straight" pair or a skinnier one made with elastic material (which is common with certain brands) look good, especially with a fitted top if you're taller/leaner
>>
>>39998381
Target has plain Tees that look great when you have some mass. They also have the denizen line of jeans that have stretch in them. The skinny pair with stretch looks good. I have pretty big thighs but they look normal in theme for the most part.
>>
>>39998342

None.
>>

>>
>>39998342
Something that fits you. By fit, I mean hugs your body without squeezing it. If you wear a loose shirt, you won't look like you lift. If you wear a well fitting shirt, you will look well kept and also juicy (provided you have gains to go with it). If you wear something too tight, you look like you're trying too hard and will ruin your outward appearance.

I personally stay towards button ups since I prefer to keep a professional appearance at work and it's just a habit that's stuck with me. They look quite nice and allow for more movement than people think. If you're worried about bunching at the waist, you're either buying shirts that don't fit or you're securing it improperly. Either way, an easy way to fix that is with a sweater. Those will hug your body like any old t-shirt while also hiding wrinkles and giving you a neater appearance.

You'll notice the key to everything I've been saying is hugs. I can't emphasize that enough. It has to hug your body, not squeeze it. Let it conform to your muscles, not stretch around them. Just find something that does that, I guess.

Henley shirts at Abercrombie or Hollister. Long sleeved shirts, thin fabric that isn't sheer. If you have a taper or big shoulders, you'll look great.
>>
>>39998422
Are they Fruit of the Loom tees or target ones?
>>
>>39998798
Target brand so they are called Mossimo I think.
>>
>>39999163
mossimo is GOAT. I'll never look anywhere else for solid color tees, plus they're only $9
>>
>>39998342
I have tailored jeans that are loose in all the right places but show my ass off real nice, and for shirts I'm juicy enough just about any I wear shows well enough.
>>
>>39998342
Clothes your size... if you had gains worth showing, then they'd show through everything.

Literally unironically pic related minus the footwear, instead I wear high cut chucks, gazelles, smiths.

the real problem is getting clothes that show off your gains just a bit and in a fashion that nobody will honestly think you're trying to show off

Just wear a tight and/or tailored shirt, and wear a baggy hoodie over the top. When you want people to mire, take the hoodie off and roll up the sleeves. Then there is a noticeable difference.

>>
>>40004327

It's just too tight. You need to wear clothing that's kind of tight in the right places (shoulders, upper chest) but hangs in the others so as to not give off a try hard or retarded impression. It still gives off the subtle impression of size and strength while maintaining style and humility.

My favorite /fit/ shirts are henleys
>>
>>40004327

I feel you man. A little surprise really turns them up a notch and gets them going.
It's like they're not expecting something of that level so it turns them on even more.

Favorites so far have been H&M plain v-neck shirts, and a few asian brand henleys and cardigans.
Usually something with a little stretch so it fits the upper body well, but doesn't make your waist look like a tent. Though I've also found asian brands are cut leaner than American brands, but it can be hard to find clothes that aren't too tight in the back / chest / shoulders.

Usually simpler is better.
Go for dark wash bluejeans
Chukkas and a watch + belt that both match the color of your boots.
Learn to style your hair in a way that's flattering to your face and body, whether that's an undercut, long, shaven or bearded. Just a touch of product can go a long way.

Also, do yourself a favor and actually get a half decent hygiene routine. You'll smell better and have healthier looking skin, cause people notice if you have shit like acne or smell like Axe.

Sleep and plenty of water is a given.
Don't buy 2-in-1 shit. 2-in-1 body + face wash will be too gentle to really clean your body, but too harsh on your face and dry it out.
2-in-1 shampoo + conditioner won't leave your hair clean for as long, and won't be as soft as getting the individual stuff.
Don't really care for "natural" or "organic" shit in particular, but there's certain things you want to avoid in cleaning products like sulfates, usually found in generic store brands. Especially if you have any skin sensitivities or allergies, etc. Could lead to eczema. (Coco sulfate is passable, though)

If your skin ever gets dry (seasonal, climate, other), or you get razor burn, exfoliating your face 2-3 times a week gets rid of dead skin. Apply coconut oil afterwards to moisturize the fresh, healthy skin underneath.
Helps prevent razor burn, makes your face softer and looking more lively.

It's better to shower every other day - I personally do it immediately after workouts or as-needed.
If you need to shower more often, just wash your hair every other day, or go light on the shampoo.
Though better cleaning products means you should be able to go a little longer between showers than the dirt cheap shit I used to use (in my own experience at least).

If you ever have trouble with acne or an oily face, try draping a fresh, clean t-shirt over your pillow every night.
I have a cat that loves sleeping on my pillow that I'm allergic to, so this is a must for me.

And more about style than hygiene, but don't be afraid to try out various hairstyles, or ways of changing up the same style.
Try hair spray, or styling gel, or styling cream, or a brush (not just a comb), etc. Try your hair messy, or clean, or slicked, or oiled, or matte.
Like I'll use hair spray for most days, the American Crew cream if I'm going somewhere nice and want my hair to have a slight shine to it and the Bead Head cream if I want it to look matte for a couple days, and to stay the fuck in place

/fa fag here. showing ankle is very in style rn so you are at least doing that right. shirt is ok i i guess as well. the problem is the jeans. a lot of people who just get into wearing skinny jeans make the mistake of wearing them skin tight like you are doing. you also do not have the legs to pull off skin tight jeans like that that are just way to muscular and curvy. you should be able to pinch a little fabric in the thigh or the calf area. if one is tight the other should be a little looser. Both cannot be skin tight. shoes are fine also.

I get what you're saying, what I was trying to explain is that if I buy jeans like the guy on the right they'll just end up super tight around my quads and super loose around my calves. Don't really own jeans like that to show but it happens when I wear formal wear too, can see the outline of my quads while beeing super loose around my calves.

Hey gay anon, I need some fashion advice pls, gay guy here as well.
Warm undertones to skin, small frame, 5'7, and I'm thin. Skin ranges from being light to a light olive depending on season. Also brown hair if that helps if you feel like answering.
Just what in the world should I look at wearing? I have no idea and wearing mediums when I should be wearing Small or XS.
Just, what in the world should I wear?
There's a lot of conflicting advice, ranging from wearing clothing to accentuate your frame (tighter fitting, slim fit, etc) to some sites saying to wear padded clothing on the shoulder and chest area, to stay away from slimmer or tight fitting jeans, etc.
And what about accessories or piercing? I don't really have any accessories and I've never had piercings. I just don't know what to do anon.
I'd really appreciate help from anyone, really. Please I seriously could use it.

There any certain style you like? Certain models on Instagram or something?
Back in like 2012 I made a spreadsheet of an idea for a simple wardrobe I could put together. Would mark what I had and didn't have.

clothes 2.png

(2/2)

Then I put together another tab that was just a bunch of outfit combos I thought might look decent using the items from my basic wardrobe.
Again, marked what I did and didn't own, and what outfits I owned in entirety.

Helped me at least figure out what items I could buy to complete the most outfits in the fewest number of purchases, which at least got me started on the right foot.
I just kinda started building off of this simple wardrobe since then, so I haven't edited / updated these spreadsheets since 2012 or whenever I made these.

TLDR: Get fit, dress masculine, even if you're small.

Basic t-shirts, button-ups, sweaters, shorts and pants in single colors with practical shoes and a fit that hugs you but doesn't cling. Wear a belt.
Lift. Fashion is a joke, fitness is not.
Accessorize with a male watch, and maybe a single understated ring. Piercings should be basic, not flashy, and match your watch and belt buckle. Avoid spherical studs, get a small, flattened cylinder shaped studs. Similarly, rings should have a rectangular cross-section, not a circular cross-section.
Your range of motion should not be restricted by clothing you don't wear to an office.
And post ass, faggot.

So sorry for the late reply, work got a bit busy!
Wow that seems quite detailed... Bit over my head but I'll keep studying it more.
As for style... Really just casual is what I'd like, like v-necks, a watch, but I wasn't exactly sure what brands to look at and where to really go.
I know slim fit shirts and pants fit me best but like, even the style of clothing itself, like chinos or what not absolutely alludes me.
If you would, may I have just a bit more assistance please? I'm so sorry to keep asking I'm just really happy I've gotten some help on this.
If it helps, I'm extremely self conscious of showing a lot of skin, namely arms and stuff, but I'm fine with v-necks.
Do you have any ideas that would allow pants and long sleeves to be worn together?
Shorts and sandals are strictly off limits, as I don't like showing too much skin.
Sorry I'm so difficult to work with, I'd really like more advice.
And if you could if you don't mind, do you have a few sites you think would suit my tastes?
Thanks so much for what you've done so far.
>>
>>40009906
Google types of pants, then google the specific types of pants from your search, write down what you like.
Repeat for each category of clothing.
>>
>>40009963
I see, so it's really just like, would I like x with y, and just pair them up?
I never knew it was that easy.
And so your spreadsheet came from something like that I'm guessing?
You make it out to seem that fashion isn't necessarily something too difficult at all, thanks a lot anon!
As for color matching, should I keep with a certain theme and only slightly deviate from that theme for an outfit, like say, beige pants with a lightish blue top, brown shoes, brown belt, and a wristwatch with a brown leather band and gold trimmed face?
Is that something that sounds like a doable outfit?
Thanks a lot for just making it seem simple anon haha, I've been stressing over this stuff for months now.

H&M's basic stretch shirts are surprisingly nice, especially for like $6 a pop. Only thing I'd buy from H&M personally. Everything else I've ever owned from them wore out in a couple months.
They used to come in more colors, but www(.)hm(.)com/us/product/85961?article=85961-A

My henleys are Selion and my cardigans are FlatSeven - both asian brands. Completely worth buying a test shirt or two to find out what you wear in their sizes first, though. I usually wear a M or L, but wear 3XL or 4XL in their size.

And to make casual + jeans look like you put at least a little effort into them, to copy my post from above, "Chukkas and a watch + belt that both match the color of your boots."
Example from an anon that posted here awhile ago. Notice that all his accessories roughly match each other's color - the watch band, the belt and the satchel. He's likely wearing boots that are a similar color, too.
The idea of coordinating accessories can bring together a lot of outfits that'd otherwise seem plain.

lol, that was a different anon, but he's right.
I tend to have clothes that I'd consider lighter or darker, and just match my accessories based on that.
See pic. Phone case, bracelets, wallet and ring I always keep the same, but the shoes, watch and belt I'll swap out depending on the outfit / season.
>>
>>40010038
Ah okay, thanks a ton! Also that outfit looks real attractive.
Thanks a ton for the extra information! I also posted >>40010029
Was wondering if that seemed somewhat correct, seems I replied to a different anon haha.
That's good it won't be too expensive, and I'll definitely order from an Asian site then, since I have somewhat of an Asian frame from being so mixed, but not fully.
I'm an XS or Small in US so that'll probably be a Large or XL, depending on a few things, in their sizes.
I really appreciate all the help anon!
I plan on setting aside about $700 for the wardrobe overhaul so some test buying will definitely be in my budget.
Shoes I'll have some difficulty on but I'll make sure to pay extra attention to what you've posted to make sure I pick out a good pair.
I've never bought boots before and usually just wear whatever I can grab.
>>
>>40010038
That style is really clean (though I don't understand why half of what you chose to post is a kitchen fucking sink) but as dressed, you look a little dyel. Maybe a full length shot would let us see your proportions better.
>>
>>40006854
High fucking test,

>>
>>40010099
Sorry I missed your updated post, would you please share what brand of shoes those are?
I actually like them and might browse what else the brand might have for sale.
I have a wide toe area so it's difficult finding shoes that fit, hope something like those do!
And okay, so darker theme like dark blue shirt and darkee beige pants = darker accessories.
That seems to make sense, since a lot of sites were like oh make this contrast and make that contrast, and a lot of their images I really didn't like - seemed over the top or plain silly.
You've seriously have been a huge help, again thanks a lot.

Yeah, he's someone I used as an example and tried to copy certain ideas from when I was getting started. Think he goes by random19, IIRC.
But yeah, sounds like a doable outfit. Once you realize that matching accessories brings together a lot of outfits, it becomes a hell of a lot easier to start mixing and matching tops and bottoms.
I did the same thing recently with this outfit - it's all what I'd normally wear, but swapped out the cardigan for a leather jacket, the "light" accessories for the "dark" ones, and it still fits together just fine. Not wearing my watch when I took the photos, though.

>>40010116
It's some anon that goes by random19.

>>40010146
Left are "Timberland Men's Grantly Chukka Boot"
Right are "Nunn Bush Men's Woodbury Boot"
Both are around $80-95.

Right is suede and doesn't have much traction, so they're comfortable as fuck, but aren't great if you live somewhere that snows. They're usually my summer weather boots.
Left is leather and not as cozy (take a while to break in), but have really nice tread as far as chukkas go, so they're usually my winter boots.
Generally speaking the warmer it is, the lighter I dress, the colder it is, the darker I dress, but that's just my personal rule of thumb.

Glad to have helped! That random19 guy was a big help to me a few years back, so I don't mind paying it forward finally.

Thanks for everything, I'll try to make the most of what I can from here on out and save everything as soon as I get home.
And the darker in winter, lighter in summer sounds like such an excellent idea!
I can probably wear lighter colors like lighter shades of purples, reds, and blues from spring leading into summer, and from later summer leading into August shift into things like flat purples, burghandy, and darker browns and blues leading into mid to late spring again or just when it's cold and cloudy.
Fuck you've helped a ton, thank you so much for everything! Hope you have a wonderful weekend anon, take care, and thank you!

>>
>>40010745
Any photos?
What have you tried to do to tame it in the past?

Styling products can help it from falling flat, and give it more volume.
Like when I mentioned using the Bed Head Matte Separation styling cream to keep my hair in place, it's still pliable, but keeps my hair where I want it to be for like two days and change.

Brushes are also better for keeping your hair from going dead flat like a comb does.
Also, ever use or look into a blow dryer? Don't use one personally, but they can help with adding some volume / giving it that messy, but styled look, especially with the right attachment.

Oh, that's not as bad as I was expecting.
Thought you'd be an asian with that super thin, straight hair or something.

Try picking up some of the styling cream I use.
Top can is called "TIGI Bed Head B for Men Matte Separation Workable Wax" on Amazon, $8.35. Should just barely need enough to cover your finger tip, and really work it into dry hair, then style it with a comb or fingertips, if you want it to look neat, or messy.

I'm not great with recommending haircuts to others, so maybe ask /fa/ or do what I did:
Post a photo or two of your hair to Facebook with the tagline: "Need a haircut. Ideas?"
Your friends can be a great resource, too, and I'm sure they'd be more than willing to help you improve your look.

elite tier is designer clothing that's athletic-inspired and all-americanish. Ralph Lauren, especially the higher tier brands like Purple label and such. Lebron wears Thom Browne a good amount and he looks way better than the skinny asians that usually wear that brand because he actually fills out the shirts and looks like an athlete on break.

if you don't want to break the bank or go autistic /fa/, try on a ton of Levis till you find one that fits right (there are a ton of different brand codes, I like the tapered ones that are roomier around the thighs), then just buy well fitting polos, henleys, t-shirts from whatever brand fits you best. Don't bust out of the clothes, if you have good shoulders and a nice chest then properly fitting clothes will make it obvious you're athletic but wont give off a douchey vibe. Also, don't buy super loud stuff, if you're /fit/ you already stand out in a good way, don't add distractions.

Poeple are actually taking advice from a fag that showers every other day?
Nigga, twice a day is the bare minimum - in the morning before work and when you come back home before bed.

His legs arent even that big you fucking pansy. Keep stroking your picture of ottermode faggots looking like teenage boys while screeching at anybody with a shred of actual mass.

Depends what you do all day.
Working in a titanium mill, I'd take two a day to wash everything from the chemical mill off of me.
Decided to go back to school, so now all I do is sit around in lectures, sit around in libraries, or lift.

In this pic or jeans look better.
Most of the people were exaggerating, but honestly, those skinny jeans weren't doing you any pleasure. Something like this looks far better

Kind of a break in period first time I wear a lot of stuff, it will usually stretch or retain its shape a bit better after the first couple wears. The ends aren't really a problem, its just about trying to fit stuff around my quads.

>screaming your insecurities
lol not even trying to be a dick here, seriously repeat what you just wrote to yourself.
oh and just a few hours ago I had 2 guys at the gym compliment me on my legs and ask me what I do for them and another guy and his girlfriend at the grocery store came up and did the same thing. It's not really anything rare either, more often than not, on a daily basis I get asked about or complimented on my legs. I get that it's probably not a look for everyone but most people in the real world (as in outside) appreciate when someone has put work into their physique.
But hey stay jelly and just keep on hatin bro, see where that takes you in life.
srsly dun give a fuqqqq

BTW as I was writing this...

>>
>>40010198
Yikes. This is an objectively bad outfit. Cheap pleather looking jacket, try-hard ring on a chain, child-like striped t. I get that fit is a fitness board, but it shocks me how not fashion conscious a lot of you guys are. If you live in a metropolitan city the really is no excuse to be dressing like your dad.

Just walk around your downtown core to see how people are dressing. There's a very accessible medium between dressing like a dad, wearing obnoxious skin tight muscle Ts and dressing like a futuristic ninja.

Looking jacked man, stats? how long have you been training, when did you start?
Also on a more thread related note from a guy with big quads to another, do you normally wear leggings to the gym. Like I find them comfy but don't feel comfortable wearing them to public gyms.

not sure if it's the same pair of jeans and maybe the first photo just looked bad but these jeans looks 9.9/10 tbqh. The creasing and loosening towards the ankles is what makes it.
>>
>>40006854
You look kind of gay with that pose, but the outfit itself looks very nice.
Of course I'd never say you look kind of gay in person, since you'd be able to pull my arm out of it's socket.

thanks
5'8, like 180-185lbs
been training 13 years, i just realized ive been training more than half my life now which is pretty trippy, started when I was 13 in junior high.

I wear compression pants from time to time, not always, usually when its cold out. Normally just sweatpants or shorts. I wasn't comfortable wearing them in public before either, I used to wear shorts over them, overtime I kinda just got getting embarrassed.
I actually spend quite a bit on gym clothes. I still think its dumb for most people to buy high price shit that you're just gonna go sweat in. But I spend a lot of time at the gym so I feel its worth the investment to look good while im there. Also I think its kind of normal for guys who've been training a while to become a bit narcissistic, so ya I'd rather wear shit that highlights muh gainz, especially while I have a pump going
>>
>>40013655
oh and I have a couple friends with start up companies for athletic wear so I get some decent quality stuff for free or for just helping them model it on their sites sometimes

personal opinion but right undoubtedly shows off gains better.
>>
>tighter clothes
>shorter sleeves
>neck low enough to show that upper pec maybe even some trap action
>pants pretty tight

Also you generally appear bigger in brighter clothes. If you want to look slim for example black skinny jeans and a black tight t-shirt would be the way to go, though if you have a good amount of muscle you'll look good in anything tighter.

The good thing about forearms is that if they're big enough, you don't need to see the rest of the arm to know someone lifts. You can wear something looser around the biceps and Delts and still look juicy if you roll them up to the elbows.
