>Add 5lbs after completing a set.
Or...
>Add 1 rep after completing a set, 5 times, then add 10%.
So like, say you're doing 4x8, work up to 4x12, then add 10%.
>>39992422
add 10%
>bench 225 4x8
>get up to 4x12
>go from 225 to 247.5
>can't do 4x8 247.5
>hypertrophy rep range
Fycking dyels... Sigh...

Where did you fail? Surely you had to be able to manage the first two sets of 8...
Neither is better, they both accomplish similar effects (overall increase in fitness) by different methods.
There are plenty of programs that discuss both (Overcoming Gravity has a section about it, 5/3/1, Alan Thrall talk about something similar.)
Stop asking dumb questions and just go lift.
