Does anyone else lift to not disappoint their younger self?
My younger self would probably be ecstatic to find out how his older self is doing. Yet I'm not particularly content right now.

I feel like my younger self would be disappointed knowing I could be more and do more

That's good. You must always balance being appreciative and happy with yourself with a healthy level of self reflection and criticism.

That little shit can go fuck himself. I lift for current and future me and nobody else.

Same. It's all about future me. Past self would think current self is a obsessive fat-phobic piece of shit
younger me would be surprised I made it passed 21 years of age. I'm 30 now but still missing the will to live which makes everything a struggle except for showering. for some reason I fucking love that shit
Younger me decided that doing nothing but push ups, air squats and cycling everywhere was going to make me ripped.
I've now got a shit posture, Anterior Pelvic Tilt, and a disproportionately overdeveloped back.
Fuck younger me, I'm having to fix his retarded shit.
