/fit/ pls help
I have a sharp pain in my spine that spikes up when I do highbar squats and deadlifts.
I unironically struggled to do 3 plates today due to the aforementioned pain, seeing as whenever I went into the hole, my spine felt like it was going to burst. There is no pain in my legs or ass due to this. It is all centered in one spot at my lower lefthand side.

I can do front squats, cleans, snatches, etc with relative ease.

Is there anyone here with some sort of experience pertaining to such a thing, and if so, could you please guide me along the right path?

I'm probably just gonna kill myself if I can't squat again.

Sounds like a spine injury, possibly spondylolisthesis with hard work you can keep mobility, but it gets worse. Eventually all "spondys" need a spinal fusion, at least that's what my doc says. Good luck

No, but prepare yourself, change your goals, learn that pain will become your best friend. Take care of your back, better to not squat and be able to walk, than be in a wheelchair. See a doctor, find out what is really wrong, hell Ice and ibprofin and 2 weeks off may fix you. But i recognize what you are describing and it can get worse.

Go the fuck to the doctor. Life is not over til you are dead motherfucker. You can still be better than 99% of the human race. I used to deadlift 525 lbs and at its worst i could not walk without crazy pain, i could not pick up my newborn son. Two years of hard work later, i cannot deadlift or squat shit, but i bench press 360 lbs and ran 1100 miles on the treadmill last year. If it was easy everyone would do it, dont puss out cause you have a new excuse, or do, I dont care.
