How Bad is it for your gains to skip a night of sleep?
I need to wake up in >2hours
Bad but as long as it isn't a habit you're fine. Sleep is key for gains.
no sleep = no grow

it's very bad. Losing a night's sleep will but your heart in starvation mode causing it to leech all the proteins out of your muscles. It's not uncommon to lose a few weeks of progress by missing out a nights sleep.

Not bad
If you're relatively young you can easily get away with missing a nights sleep by just taking a nap or meditating deeply and silently for a half hour the following day.
You're losing out on muscle repair, proper neural recruitment, and most importantly HGH.
Sleep is where your muscles are actually built back up.

test is at its highest during REM, too

You'll be fine. I had a rough couple of years where I would sleep 4 hours a day and I could still bench 350. One night won't affect you at all.

its not like they arent being built up during the day as well, sleep is just where most of it happens, and i think that's specifically because of the hormone surge during sleep

sounds like your circadian rhythm would be pretty fucked up, but Im not sure how much of a difference that would make, especially with artificial light and all that
