Is the Keto diet a troll? Tried it for a week and I feel weak all the time. My lifts took a huge hit in weight and I find recovery slower. It's also hard as fuck to hit calories on it. Seems like it would be good for a huge cut though.
keto is a meme
Good for cutting, can confirm.

you have keto flu
eat more salt
Your body needs carbs, especially if you are a professional athlete.

Sounds unhealthy as fuck but a friend lost 50 lbs + with it

The salt trick stopped working for me.

I've lost over 60 with Keto. Had a course of blood panels done, all came back with flying colors. No real drops in energy. Problem, imo, is that too many people that go on keto forget just how many vegetables they need to consume; it's not all meat and fat.

It takes longer than a week for your muscle tissue to up-regulate synthesis of mitochondria that are specialized in using free fatty acids for energy (instead of glucose). My lifts returned to par after 2-3 weeks of starting keto.

you body can make around 250g of carbs per day fom acetone if it needs to.
you only really need about 30g to run your brain.
low carbs only affect glycolytic aerobic performance, and only by about 5%, which is only a concern if you're a competitive athlete in season

no it didnt.
eat more salt.

No significant advantages to performance/cutting reported/studied up to date. People go on a strict diet, reduce carbs they're probably over-consuming and see results. Keto magic? Evil sugar? Go figure.
In the end w/e works for you brah.
