So I heard that only heavy barbell exercises are the shit. I was thinking about training one of the big five on consecutive days, like
Monday Bench press
Tuesday Squat
Wednesday Bent-over row
Thursday Overhead press
Friday Deadlift
Is this a good idea?
If I would add one supplemental exercise each day, what should they be?
I thought about
DB bench
Front squat
Pull-ups
Behind-the-neck press
Either hip thrust, plank, or stiff-leg deadlift

Oh and I already got aesthetics, I'm nearly at 1/2/3/4 and want to train for strength.

If you're at 1/2/3/4 you're already using barbells

Of course I'm using barbells. But up to now I was on some PPL with lots of accessories. I want a more puristic program. Couldn't find a lot about doing only the big five on google. Also would like input on second exercise. Don't want to do without pull-ups for example.

I thought powerlifters only do bench/DL/squat?

they have some pretty good archived routines for olympic lifting. A lot of the prep involves various barbell movements.

Barbell movements are really good but don't be a purist, machines are nice finisher
>that routine
doing these movements once a week isn't optimals

You can lift for both with a barbell routine.
>I want a more puristic program.
Why tho?
>Also would like input on second exercise.
You could do 1-2 supporting/assistiance exercise and then 1-2 antagonist/opposing exercise, relative to the main movement to the day.

Why tho?2 Pull ups/chin ups are a great exercise and can easily have added weight, same go for dips
