All I know is bro split. Bro split is love, bro split is life.

So last night I went to the gym, spent twice as long there working out every muscle group till exhausted.

But today I'm not sore like I am with bro splits. I don't feel the gains I do with bro splits, I also don't feel like I need to take a day off and recover like I do with bro splits. So I'll probably go to the gym tonight and waist more time trying to beat bro splits.

Do a push pull routine.
PPrestPP so basically 4x a week.
push 1 : squat&bench
pull 1 : deadlift
push 2 : OHP
pull2 : barbell row

of course these routines have accessory exercises that come along with them.

basically push 2x a week pull 2 x a week. you'll get good gains

How do you feel about full body training?
This is kind of personalized for me so there's room to adapt it.

A: Push Focus
High Bar Squat: Ramp Up to 1x5
Leg Ext.: 2x15
Lat. Pulldown: 4x8
Bench Press: 4x8
Face Pulls (low): 3x15

B: Accessories
OHP: 5x10
Rows: 5x10
Lat. Pulldown: 5x10
Chest Flys: 3x12
15-30 mins Steady State Cardio

C: Pull Focus
DL: Ramp Up to 1x5
Leg Ext.: 2x15
Lat. Pulldown: 3x15
Face Pulls (high): 3x15
DB Bench: 3x15

AxBxCxx + opt. cardio day

5s to 5RM
8s, add weight each set, 2-1-2-0 tempo


I have bad shoulders so the 4x8 bench could be changed into ramp up sets

As your body adapts to working out, you're going to experience soreness differently. Also, different workouts will leave you feeling different ways; some not as sore. It's a sign but not one to measure

Best measure imo is by your sleep pattern and eating. If your body is begging you for nutrients and repair time, your shit is working. When I did Hepburn method I was never "sore" but I would sleep through entire days and eat trucks. Whole trucks. Mad gainssss

That makes sense, I've been eating a lot since I started. I used to work out regularly but was put on disability/bed rest for 6 whole months. I'm just getting back into shape. I lost so much mass!

After 8 months of heavy oly lifting, I've been trying to give my joints and a few muscles in a preinjury state some rest and simultaneously dealing with an inner quad strength/growth imbalance from only doing squats for legs. Hence the extra leg extensions. At one point I had single leg squats in there too. Single leg work is important.
