/fit/pill me on yoga
glorified mostly-static stretches imo, but better than sitting on your ass

Ashthanga Yoga or Power Yoga are an awesome exercise for newbies for the first two months, before it's necessary to use weights to really get stronger. The stretching and ab exercises and low-impact weights make it something that really every single lifter should be doing on their off days, IMO, except that it's also as boring as sin.

If I had to pick only one, I would do yoga over lifting weights. It's just healthier, and keeps your body young and limber. That doesn't sound interesting at all if you are young, but once you hit around 27+ years old, you'll start to understand what I mean.
I think I'm the only one in my gym who lifts 1/2/3/4 plate and can lay his palms flat on the ground while maintaining straight legs.
A lot of people are turned off because of the amount of women who do it, or the spiritual crap it involves sometimes, but just ignore that shit. Trust me, do it. If it's so fluffy and sissy looking, then it shouldn't be hard, right? Then do just 30m and see how you like it.

Increased flexibility.
Increased muscle strength and tone.
Improved respiration, energy and vitality.
Maintaining a balanced metabolism.
Weight reduction.
Cardio and circulatory health.
Improved athletic performance.
Memes are detrimental to success in lifting. Drop the pill stuff, it makes you sound like a neckbeard.
I tried yoga with two of my friends one time, but being down angled and inverted made me nauseous and I had to stop. Does that go away with time or am I too weak a man for yoga?

yea, long periods of stretching does that to people

There's nothing in yoga that should make you nauseous - yeah maybe you're just not used to holding positions.
