No, not at all. If you are faat and untrained, lose weight first, building muslce mass gets easier. Then hit the gym and do full body for at least 6 months berfore ppl-memeing

They in some cases work better then gym or lifting because once you've mastered basic calisthenics, aerobic/anaerobic exercise principles and basic stretching you'll never ever be unfit or have any excuses to be unfit.
