Are fitbit accurated to track heart rate?
No fitness accessory is really accurate, but they're alright for a rough approximation.

Got one for christmas, pretty content with the info it gives me
I think you need one that works with a sternum strap to be very accurate, polar made one but I honestly don't know much about them.
I came to ask a similar question.
Is the TDE calculations better/more accurate than online TDE calculators.
Shake your wrist with the Fitbit on will result in a few steps.
Accurate, you tell me?

yeah I imagine the thing to track steps is bullshit... but honestly who tracks STEPS? is it a fat people thing?
I'm wondering what is best to track my heart rate when doing sports

I got the charge 2 for my gf. Its pretty accurate. We compared it with a heart rate monitor placed at the sternum.

This. Have had a Charge HR for a year now (though its doing the 'bubbling-wristband' thing now). I know the absolute value is off, but it seems consistent. I had a hiatus from cardio for about two months (big work project), and I can see where my resting heart rate started creeping back up.

How are you fixing the bubbling wristband? Mine had completely detached around the screen and its fucking annoying.

I've tried mine against cardio machines at the gym and they give me roughly the same reading.
