No, because there will quickly come a point when your press is limiting the entire movement, and you will gain no additional benefit from the clean portion as it is stuck at a weight your body does not struggle with.

The single best lift is probably the muscle up.

While I disagree with you about the lift providing no additional benefit, I do have to agree with you somewhat. My clean has continually gone up, but my clean and jerk is stalling behind slightly. However, I'm sure this happens to everybody and doesn't mean you just shouldn't do clean and jerks.
