The way I see it, if you want to jog then go jog. If you want to lift then go lift.
I'm not going to go do 2 sets of bench to warm up before I go for a 5km jog. Im not going to jog 1km before lifting either. I'd rather just commit to either cardio or lifting, than half-assing one and gimping the other by using a bit more energy I couldve put into the other thing.
At most I could excuse some light cardio as a cool down after a good lifting session. But warming up with it seems pretty pointless except to raise your body temperature before you even start lifting so you become that gross sweaty guy.
