Only diet that worked for me.
Restarted it again 8 days ago after a couple of months off. After 5 days it becomes a ton easier.
If you're feeling like this guy >>39882187 then you're not doing it right. Make sure you get plenty of fat in your diet and you eat fiber. The fact he couldn't shit means he was using his 30g of carbs a day on sugar or starch rather than leafy greens.
Typical meal for me
3xeggs, slice of cheese, bacon or steak, raw spinach
or Chicken, advocado, raw spinach or other leafy greens and cooked mushrooms.
You still gotta count calories on keto btw; if you eat over your maintainence you lose weight. Keto helps you to get control of your hunger though since it lowers blood sugar and keeps it nice and low.
If you don't get the right amount of fat you'll feel like shit; fat is important for testosterone and hormone production.
I actually had a really good time on keto. I had a really tough time staying on the diet because 1.) My wife is diabetic so if we diet together it's really hard to keep meals together because keto and diabetes do not mix. And 2.) The carb cravings are next level.
However you lose a whole boat load of water weight in the first couple days (I "lost" 7 pounds by day 2) so then after that point any weight loss does not bounce back. Most I lost was 7 real pounds in a month and 7 pounds of water weight on top of that.
If you can deal with the cravings and the change in eating it is a super effective weight loss method for summer cutting.

How long does a person usually do keto?
>BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAPH
Very hard to maintain, I prefer a low GI diet.

That was a typo. I meant to say "you won't lose weight"* hence why it was preceeded with "you still gotta calories though". My fuck up.

It's safe for long term.
"The weight and body mass index of the patients decreased significantly (P<0.0001). The level of total cholesterol decreased from week 1 to week 24. HDL cholesterol levels significantly increased, whereas LDL cholesterol levels significantly decreased after treatment. The level of triglycerides decreased significantly following 24 weeks of treatment. The level of blood glucose significantly decreased"

You can do it for as long as you want, short term or long term. It is good because it really does help reduce the production of excess fats in general because of the whole excess blood sugar and glycogen thing behind why keto works.
I prefer it for the short term because I find keto isn't very money effective because you can't supplement calories with cheap shit like rice and pasta and it can be helpful for those who haven't had too much success in other diets see quick results.
All I can say is the blogs that say doing keto for life is the best way to live and that carbs are unnatural are full of shit but they do make some good points that keto is pretty much the only scientifically proven "fad" diet thanks to our ancestors eating mostly meat and shit.
Have you ever done keto before?
