Been lifting for few months and been dealing with this shit for a month now. I can lift maybe twice a week but the back feels wrecked as hell. I saw a physio about it but got the green light so I continued lifting. Two workouts later couldn't even start my rows. Fuck.
I've tried stretching, mobility work, yoga, foam rolling and msr shit. Still in agony
Any brethen out there with the same lumbar burden on making it?
stretch and go to a chiropractor. if not then go to a real doctor stop fucking off. also stop deadlifting

i assume you get this pain when you squat heavy and deadlift?
you have a weak lower back so start doing back extensions. if you are doing low bar squats switch to high bar so there is less stress on the lower back
it could also be due to doing good mornings when coming up from bottom of the squat because your form is shit

Some stretches to help fix my butt-wink at the bottom of my squat?
Not sure if it's my ankle mobility or lack of hamstring stretching.

It has become nearly a constant ache. I squat high bar and my form is pretty solid. I haven't videod my diddlies yet but I think I'll do it today. Back extensions could work, atleast get some juices flowing there. I haven't done good mornings.

Joe Defrancos limber 11 is pretty thorough. I also rest in barbell ankle stretch-position or 3rd world squat the time between sets.

i also had a weak lower back when i started lifting. started doing back extensions and slowly adding weight. now i'm doing back 3x8 back extensions at least once per week with 30 kg (5 per side + barbell) and i never have any lower back discomfort.
also use ab wheel or do hanging leg raises so you keep your core strong along with your lower back.
seconding back extensions. i was doing only squats and deadlifts for a while, but as the weights started getting heavier i started getting lower back pain. added rdls, goodmornings, back extensions and a bunch of ab work. the pain went away after about a month
Went to the gym. Sqwats and deadlifts were horrific as expected. Started with squats as usual, got up to my first work set and called it a day. As with deadlifts I loaded my first warmup set, did a rep and quit. Fuck.
At least I got my moneys worth of ohp. Banged sets upon sets and it was pretty gud. Did back extensions as well with a 16 kg kettlebell tucked under my chin.
Back still hurts but less than before lifting so I'll just have to carry on. Maybe drop squats and diddlies until I have this under control.

stop doing them if your back hurts then. why do you want to risk permanent injury? stop doing squats and deadlifts until you no longer feel pain then start slowly and keep doing back extensions every workout.
how much do you squat and at what weight does the pain start?
