What's /fit/'s opinion on high volume for natties? I was reading something by Eric Helms where he said there's a point of diminishing returns when it comes to training volume.

I currently do a PHUL type routine with pretty high volume on the hypertrophy days. I don't have problems with recovery afaik, but could I get away with less volume? Can any brahs here share their experience/routines?

Shit loads of volume as a natural DEMANDS shit loads of rest. Even then you're going to have to do high volume stuff for relatively short periods.

It's pretty simple. If you have overtraining symptoms you are overtraining and need to train less. If you don't you're fine.

Volume is always beneficial until it results in overtraining.

If you sleep a lot and eat a lot (your TDEE will be 5000ish depending on your height and how much cardio...) you can do a whole lot of volume

I almost only do shitloads of volume.
Like the other guys said. Sleep and eat clean and alot. Like stuff yourself with healthy food. Make sure you take in enough fats.
I force food down my throat 6 days a week, smoke weed to make sure i sleep good.
6'3, 201 lbs, 13.3 bf, 17.2" arms.

Now if only someone can cure my autism so i can find someone to be with me next christmas

I hit everything twice a week and do low volume high intensity lifts for compound movements and then more volume for accessory work for example bench for sets of 1to 3 then like flys for sets of 12 keep it simple 3 lifts for each muscle group been getting incredibly stronger and bigger

Back when I would jog/walk all day in addition to workouts my TDE would reach 5k calories.

I put on some serious mass on a cycle following that routine. Still doing it but have been switching it up with machines and similar lifts. Thinking about trying something else tho
