Hi, first time posting here, not sure if this is the right board.

I seem to have this forward head syndrome and scoliosis I guess from using the computer all these years, anyone have advice on daily exercise routines to correct this? Has anyone tried it? How well does it work? Thanks

Atleast google your fucking question before putting it up here

>being this much of a fag for someone asking fitness advice on a fitness board.

2017 is going to be great for you, off to a good start already.

Bump for interest I have the same issue.
>>
>>39859818
I'm asking in hopes of others with the same problem can share their experiences here and to discuss the problem in general. Google seems to return uncertain answers for me
>>
No replies...might as well bump with some of my questions:

1. I have searched mixed opinions regarding sit-ups for scoliosis, are they bad or good for it?

2. Regarding masssages as well, I really want one badly, but some searches tell me it's bad while others say it's good, whats the real deal?

Hoping for replies....

For forward head go study correct posture and remind yourself to stay in it as long as humanly possible as frequently as possible.

Additionally I strongly recommend learning correct mouth posture.

Believe it or not even though you have likely hit full maturity your body still can undergo musculo-skeletal changes that over time will improve your facial structure and posture.

Bad posture is mostly just about over-stretched erector muscles anyway.

uhm what exactly do you mean by this statement?

>dumb

the sentence you just made looks dumb
>>

I am practising correct posture but I always have this feeing that Im doing it wrong though, like it feels unnatural
>>
>>39861179
It does feel unnatural and wrong. This is because you are having to actively use muscles to counter your default of slouching. Once you've done it long enough two things happen;

Your muscles will strengthen making it less fatiguing and natural.

Your muscles will shorten, meaning that the default posture will rest against the tension of your musculature at a more natural posture.

It might be worth seeing a doctor.
Otherwise read the trigger point therapy workbook. It's golden

start deadlifting, correct anterior pelvic tilt and stretch pecs and other muscles you can see in mirror
