You need to pull the slack out of the bar before you pull. Get tight and apply force to the bar before you pull. Think of it like this, you don't want to go from 0-105kg of force in a second. You want to apply at least a good amount of force to get tight and then pop it off the floor. Don't jerk the bar

Like, for me it's not a ton weaker I think because when I bench, I touch the bar as lightly as possible on my chest, but for twinklex it's a lot harder because he rests the bar a lot more on his chest. So I have more strength at that part of the lift then he does just because I always have pressed the bar harder at that part. I hope that makes sense.

I don't think there is a "correct" way here; we're both going to end up fixing the sticking point, it's just a matter of how you approach it. I would prefer to eliminate the specific muscular weakness directly attributed to the sticking point; you prefer to eliminate the muscular weakness that allows the sticking point to occur. Both will result in a better bench, I just prefer my way for arbitrary reasons.

The common autoregulation-based stuff seems to be 4-5 days a week and U/L split. Im not scared of writing my own programming I'd just like to see how someone with more experience has set their own up. Mostly confused as to how you program a high volume and eventually overreaching block.

I'm a big fan of an upper/lower split for hypertrophy. Its just a matter of convenience mostly, programming becomes much easier.

An example for hypertrophy (but with a focus on gaining strength as well) for squat, I'd program something like:

Standard warmup (this doesn't need to be programmed for you)
Squat 1x3 @ ~90% (This is just to get you accustomed to heavier weights, to maintain neurological strength and confidence, since most of the work you'll be doing is relatively on the lighter side. When I say ~90%, you can add or subtract 2.5% or whatever based on how you feel.)
Squat 5x5 @ ~80%
Leg Pressing 3-4x8-10 (Use whatever weights you can.)

This is going to be just for one movement.

Add in hamstrings work. Can do 5x5 romanian deadlifts and leg curls or something.

Add weight over the cycle, deload every 6 weeks.

Hope that gives you some ideas for a volume/hypertrophy based programming.

I guess the general guideline I mean to say is:
Choose 1 exercise, probably one of the big 3 most of the time. Do a heavy set of low reps. Do a 5x5 or 8x3 or something like that. Choose a similar movement and do it for higher reps (Squat + Leg Press, Deadlift + Romanian Deadlift/Leg Curl (back may be too tired for RDLs), Bench + Incline Bench, or Bench + Flyes, etc)

Put your legs low on the sled, use a moderate stance and push through the ball of your foot. Works the fuck out of your quads.

If you have knee problems that may irritate them, in which case you can just put your feet a bit higher and push through your midfoot. This will more evenly distribute the load between hips/knee. The former variation utilizes the knee as much as possible.

Squat 2-4 days a week, bench 3-5 days, deadlift whenever. Hit up a bunch of triples at 85%ish and then drop back to a few sets of 6-10. Then for squat, hit up some paused highbar or front squats, and for bench either long pause or closegrip or ohp or all three depending on how good you're feeling. That's what I've been doing lately except before my triples I attempt singles between 95 and 102.5%. Has worked pretty well so far

You could do a Lower/Upper/Fullbody setup.

Lower:
Squat
Romanian Deadlift
Leg Press
Leg Curls
Calves

Upper:
Bench
Rows
Flyes
Pulldowns
Delts
Arms

Fullbody:
Deadlift
Bench or Shoulder Press
Hamstrings
Rows or Pulldowns,
Quads
Arms or something

If you're so inclined, that scheduling can work.

Or you could do something like the 3rd day of that, focus 1 lift each day, with a bit of a focus on a different muscle each day.

Working every muscle/movement equally each workout gets annoying for a variety of reasons IMO.

Could do something like:

Day 1
Legs + Chest (So squat + bench, a bit of accessory work related, but can also do some pulling, just not as much as you would for something else, same applies for the other days)

Day 2
Hamstrings/Back + Shoulders (Deadlift + Overhead Pressing + Rows or whatever)

Can alternate those two days, or add in a 3rd day. Whatever. All kind of scheduling is possible. Within 3 days those are pretty fucking good for bodybuilding, nb for strength either. Although high frequency fullbody workouts are all the rage these days.
