Where exactly does it hurt? On the tooth itself or in your gums? If you have sensitive teeth You can ask for a Fluoride Varnish from your dentist. It takes like 5 minutes to do and will help prevent sensitivity as well as prevent future cavities.

Yes and no. You can remineralize what you still have with fluoride, by getting a fluoride varnish and perhaps asking for a prescription strength fluoride tooth paste. But you will never naturally grow it back. You can avoid sensitivity with a few methods though.

Also specifically buy toothbrushes that say "soft" and learn how to brush your teeth properly. Everyone scrubs them, stripping enamel after they weakened it from eating. What you want to do is to gently "vibrate" the toothbrush on your teeth to dislodge food and plaque. You're not trying to scrub off anything. You're just trying to dislodge it to swish it away with water.

All in all, drink more water and try to brush your teeth before you eat to get rid of any plaque before you put food all over it. And then swish your mouth with water after to neutralize the acidity of your mouth to prevent demineralization by acid.

I'll soon be seeing another dentist anyway at the surgery because I'm going for root cleaning or something. I hope to god I don't need gum grafts and all that shit. They do bleed when I brush, even with a very soft brush. They look sore close up, and I've always terrible breath no matter how much I clean my mouth.

I did want to get my teeth straightend, but I hardly think that'll be an option with my weak gums.

Floss. Flossing twice a day is there best thing you can do for your teeth. Ever since I started I haven't had a cavity for 3 years. Also brushing and eating decent food, drinking little soda helps

Have the discipline to do it when you wake up and before you go to bed. Personally I slip up every now and again, but my mouth will feel so dirty that I can't stand missing more than one session. Just floss, brush everything until they feel clean, brush your tongue, then mouth wash.
