So Ive decided to start working out but I have no idea how to properly do it. Ive never felt the need to workout before because I've always been healthy but now that I'm getting older I want to stay in shape. I want my arms to get bigger and to get stronger. I have a pic related thing ij my basement that Ive bought but never used along with a dumbell and some weights. Is this enough to start working out with until I can get a membership to the gym? Do I just go downstairs and lay on my back and start lifting the thing or is there preparations or something. I legit have 0 idea what Im doing, I tried looking up how to workout but all the articles that show up are just how to motivate yourself not how to do it, also how long until i experience results?

If you cant have a gym membership no problem you can do bodyweight training at home. Athlean x and Scottherman have cool workouts you can follow for free on youtube.
First you stretch. I like to do dynamic stretching because it gets my blood flowing for lifting. I do 2 warm up sets, first set is 10lbs under my workout weight and 2nd is 5lbs under. Then I do my workout, 6 or more different workouts each targeting major parts of the body at 5x5(not counting warm-up) after that I do dynamic stretching again and that's it.
read the sticky
go to the sticky

It was a tough choice between pic related and a picture of a sticker that says "You tried really hard, well done" but this one won out in the end. It's (You)
