So it's been 6 months now and I have been going to the gym roughly 5 days per week for an hour, doing weights. I'm seeing some results especially on my shoulders and back and legs.
I know in 3 years, I will be in shape, my issue is I still don't like to work out among a lot of people. I make sure I use the correct form for everything, but when there are a lot of people at the gym, it's intimidating. Especially if they are much bigger than me which is always the case.
Any tips?

Don't worry, guy. New years is right around the corner and there will be so many new people that you will see how good you are doing and be happy in a crowd.

I go to an all male gym, maybe I should go to one of the bigger ones, but I doubt they have as many machines

No you are doing it right. Do you look at the other guys a lot? Do they look around a lot?

Yes people look around.

bigger in what sense? taller or more muscular?
as someone who won the genetic lottery and is 5'4 i just learned to deal with it. everyone i meet is taller than me, including girls and most kids lmao. can't do anything about it so why waste energy on it?

there are taller, I'm like 5"8 manlet, but it's the bigger as in size ones.
I think what gets me the most is a lot of them all talk to each other and know each other and I'm a loner. They have probs been lifting for years together.

well that's how it works. taller people means bigger bones and muscles by default. not to mention if they lift they will get that much bigger. you will always look smaller than taller guys even if you work out (unless you go on gear). best to realize that and move on.
if you don't want to be a loner then start by greeting the regulars you see there every day. then start talking to them between sets, ask them for a spot or a tip, or if you can work in between their sets. that usually gets the conversation going and you'll make a new friend.
it's a weird situation. most people don't care about others at the gym and are there just to do their workout. i don't mind talking to people when resting but i'm not going to go and bother some guy who looks like he doesn't want to. i bet that most would be pleased to talk but because of this magical circle nobody does so.
when i started i also didn't know anyone but after a few months i've made a few friends that go at the same time and talk to them whenever i'm there and resting between sets. what i did notice though is that people rarely initiate conversation with those that have headphones on. listening to music is like having a sign that says leave me alone.
