Hello,
what is the single best excercise for abs?
I don't have any in my actual routine, I surely work them but I want an isolation excercise.
If you could do 1 abs excercise, what would it be?

Either hanging leg raises or dragonflags.
Janda sit-ups
Google them
>>39816257
Hanging leg raise/knee raise for sure, can't go wrong with good form sit-ups also
>>39816257
dragon flags, if you want a bigger challange hold the dragon flag a few inches off the ground and swing your legs up and down every so slightly, kinda like ab scissors but you're not crossing your legs (you can if you're an absoulute madman)

weighted hanging leg raises

Hanging leg raises. Most comfortable ab isolation in my routine, and still hits them hard.
>>39816257
yes, seriously

Ab wheel damn near killed me.
Abs were beat up for 4 days. Could barely sit

LISTEN
Focus on lumbar flexion, not hip flexion, ie. bringing the belly button to the sternum in favour of raising your legs

Can someone explain this?
>>39816779
Use rectus abdominis muscles more than hip flexors, while making situp.
>>39816779
Not the dude, but using hips for ab exercises is considered bad form, can lead to injury and/or tight hip flexors, which sucks. But mind your spinal flexion too.

Dragonflags are a warmup you fat cunts.
Fucking L-sits are harder. Try doing a reverse planche, proper shoulder mounts or full ab wheel

Dragon flags are GOAT man. But yea, ab wheel will fuck your shit up.
How should my shoulders be positioned when doing hanging leg raises? Should they be completely relaxed and I'm just hanging there with my arms, or should I be tightening my shoulders/upper back?

Your shoulders should always be tight when hanging from a bar.
