Hip crease below knee. Whether you chose to go ATG at that point is preference, but hip crease below knee is optimal for knee health.

Some people cannot go atg due to their proportions. If you are one of those (long femurs, short torso), dont stress out about it. Get in your head that everyone is different and there are no rules determining how a squat has to be done.
/fit/ is fucking retarded in this regard, but it has to do with the demographic of mainly autistic shut-ins.


the only thing that should determine how you perform exercises is your goal. Dont mix grip your deadlifts when you are not competing, dont squat atg if you are physically not capable of doing so.
