So I squat highbar with adipowers, I have good form outside of keeping my weight on the side of my foot for some reason in adipowers it's hard to do but i"m not on my toes.

Anyway I go high bar but I go all the way down atg basically. For some reason when I start going up past the knee break the front of my kneecap hurts like a bitch and I don't know why. I'm doing light weight (2plate) and I can feel it it's like a sharp pain then goes away, doesn't hurt when I walk or anything just when I break at the knees going up.

I THINK it's because i"m beginning to lean forwards on the way up btu I don't know what the reason it is, it happens on front squats as well.

Any idea on how to fix? I already break at the hips going down with my ass going back first, chest up everything just weird.

If you low bar squat, then you break at the hips to put the bar over the center of your foot because it starts behind that center. In the highbar and front squat, the bar begins above the center of your foot. Therefore if you break at the hips first you can put the bar in front of you and create a moment arm.

Excited. Program is setup and scheduled like a jigsaw falling into place.
We even sneaked in a second mock meet, at the start.

It's pretty much certain at this point that the competition is gonna be a major success, unless there's another great lifter who'll compete for the top, or something less fortunate happens, like bombing out for whatever reason. Which shouldn't happen, we're planning this carefully and the two mock meets at different points of fatigue will allow us to be sure of what numbers to use.

You could do TM just drop the volume by 2/3 and don't go for a PR on your intensity day, just try to hit your old max ever time.

Training doesn't need to be radically different on a cut. Just drop volume (or frequency) to make up for impaired recovery, and DO NOT drop intensity. Don't try increasing it to PR either, unless you are very capable.

Frog starts is exactly the place where you would hitch and the bar speed up oscillates with his shaking. But 4realz. 2x a week. Massive shoulder volume, heavy standing presses 3x5 (80-90+% max) followed by 5x10 at 60-65%. Then 5x5 Arnold presses, then 1-2 shoulder isolation exercises, preferably lateral or read delt focused. Then do a medley of tricep stuff. This is where it's at. Feel free to do your own stuff, but your shoulders need a shitload of volume to grow.
Source: pressed 245 at around 210, 255 at ~204.

This is powerlifting general, so we focus on bench. Nothing else really matters because your goal is to put up a monster bench.

If you have weak triceps (struggle at lockout on bench), then focus on triceps with partial ROM benching (pin or board press) and triceps isolation work.

If you want a big dip focus on it.

Otherwise, just keep benching dude.

Started doing tricep extensions the way mister mark rippletoe does them and my bench shot up like crazy. 2 weeks and im up 10 kilos.
They also feel amazing, zero pain in my elbows and the movement just feels fluid. New favourite exercise.

Just don't listen to Mark Rippetoe on some things when it comes to technique (most of his advice is solid, some memery like hip drive and looking down at the ground when you squat). Izzy's Powerlifting to Win website is great.

I would also add in accesories and swap around some excercise to increase specificity.

At first deadlift 3x a week, once deadlifts get heavy, alternate speed deadlifts or a Deadlift variation with heavy deadlifts from the floor, this is as a replacement to alternating power cleans and deadlifts.

Add in rows and even pulldowns/pullups/chinups.

Back extensions are very good

Do arms or whatever bodybuilding shit if you want.

Bench 3x a week.

This is just to maximize specificity to PL. If putting up a big total isn't your only goal, then not all of this applies. Apply it as neccesary.

Definitely copy the progression scheme of SS, it's very good.

So you'll start off with

Squat 3x5
Bench 3x5
Deadlift 1x5

3x a week

Then turn it into this after a few weeks:

Day 1
Squat 3x5
Bench 3x5
Deadlift 1x5
Rows 3x6-8
Back Extension 2x10-12

Day 2
Squat 3x5
Bench 3x5
Light Deadlifting (use 80% of day 1 weight, do an 8x3, you'll only need a minute or 2 of rest at most between sets)
Pulldowns and whatever who cares

Or look up Izzy's beginner program on PL2WIN. I think it's similar to what I've said and I'm probably just re-meming the wheel.
