Please, without memeing - does SS make you swole
it makes you stronk(er than you were before you started the program)
STARTING Strength in no way claims to be an aesthetics program in any way shape or form.
You WILL get bigger if you get your numbers up and eat enough food.
If you want to be a swole, sick cunt brah etc then do a brosplit and juice like everybody else
itl give you bigger legs if you wanna get swole ya need to do reg park 5x5 or any olsdchool bb 5x5 teamplate m8
Just do a split. You'll still get strong (regressive overload) and you'll look better

Great routine to get strong fast. Make sure you're doing PC's by week two and chins by week 4. You should be done by 3-4 months. Best to eat at a slight bulk too, just TDEE+250.
If you're fat, do GSLP 2x week and conditioning 3x a week (prowler, hill sprints, hikes, short runs, brisk walks) to get in shape and to a healthy BF% first.

Whats the difference between a power clean and a bent over row?

One is an olympic lift that develops explosive strength, the other is a lift that strengthens your upper back. Both are awesome but try doing it Rip's way, it's programmed like that for a reason.
Great way to look bad and nothing close to swole. You will get stronger however, at the cost of a good looking body.
You torso will also get wide as fuck.

SS is for people with very little muscle mass.
It wont make them look good, it will give them a good base to start with, you should not do it longer than you need to.

Volume makes you swole.
Heavier lifts can create more volume than lighter lifts.
Get strong first (about 4 months of starting strength).
You should try to get to the 1/2/3/4 standards:
1 plate overhead press (135 lbs)
2 plate bench press (225 lbs)
3 plate squat (315 lbs)
4 plate deadlift (405 lbs)
Once you have base level strength, you can:
>Add assesory movements
>Increase the reps on the basic movements
>Add "work capacity" workouts like sled pulls and strong man things

no, SS makes you real strong real fast
but when you're really fucking strong and switch to a different program focused on mass gain, you'll make all kinds of gains in no time
