How do I achieve good sleeping posture?
I get the feeling it's probably "on back, hands at side, weight evenly distributed, no tension, one pillow at most, etc" but I just can't relax unless I'm lying on my side, legs oriented differently from chest, knees slightly contracted, with a slight hunch and possibly hugging the pillow that's less comfortable to sleep on.
Also since it's freaking 5 AM, how do you guys go to sleep at will? My sleep pattern is like a bus, I either catch it and fall asleep, or am too distracted by my thoughts (or a smartphone) and have to wait another thirty minutes to an hour for the next one to arrive. I figure most people have better sleeping habits than me, so what's your secret, most people?
Hopefully I go to sleep and won't respond to comments for a few hours.

I think you're supposed to sleep on your back, but I can't do it either. My sleep position is a mess.
Take some melatonin on weekdays, though, and get off your phone at least half an hour before you plan to go to sleep. Read a book instead.

>My sleep pattern is like a bus
Perfect analogy, I'm the same. Stop using phones and whatever else before sleep time, it helps a fuckload, and figure out where your body is primed to sleep better. Sounds like broscience but if you go to bed dreading being up all night you're more likely to do it, if I can't sleep I go out and crash on the couch (even though it's too short for me) and fall asleep much faster

Get Flux for your computer and Twilight for your phone

ditch the soft mattress, your back will thank you. i ditched the bed completely and i just put some covers on the floor and sleep there
When i wrestled in highschool they told us to sleep on our stomachs cause sleeping on your back is a bad omen. Its now the only way i can sleep i could be the most tired ive been in my entire life but if im not on my stomach i cant sleep sucks because i dont even find it a comfortable position im just wired to sleep like that
