Im sure my height helped a little, but youre not much shorter than me so the same could apply for you once you lose the weight. dont worry about specific body parts man, just start a good lifting program that has you doing heavy compound lifts, do a little cardio every other day and MOST IMPORTANTLY make sure your diet is in check. You dont have to kill yourself over your diet just make sure you dont continue any bad habits that got you to 279lbs. But i shouldnt have to lecture you on diet because obviously whatever you are doing now is working so just keep at it man. Like I said, it just takes time and patience. Lifting heavy and cardio is what got me in that shape. Goodluck anon

I didn't do any upper body work for 2.5 months after the initial injury back in August, aside from physical therapy.

I just now got back into doing bench and overhead press, albeit much lighter than before. I honestly just go with what doesn't make my shoulder feel like it'S going to fall off, which means no pull ups, dumbbell bench, or lateral raises. I usually do close grip T bar rows, low rows, cable press downs, and EZ bar curls for accessory work aside from barbell bench and OHP as my main conventional compounds.

These are the results people should expect while following my program Starting Strength along with the nutritional requirement for a adult sized male which is a Gallon Of Milk A Day. Note the fullness in the chest from optimal amounts of pressing. Note the complete development of the upper and lower pectoral muscles from flat barbell bench press and barbell overhead press. Note the overall development of the deltoids and the strong core built from optimally performed overhead press.

The biceps have gotten quite large from compound work as have the triceps from consistent pressing.

These legs are what people on my program should strive for, it doesn't get much better than this folks. Starting Strength and Gallon Of Milk A Day took this man from a puny weak boy with no functional strength and turned him into a modern day Hercules. If you put in the effort each squat session this could be you. Take note at the exceptional quadricep development on this young man. Not only did squats give him legs most men would dream of, but squats also gave him a good strong core. Visible abdominals are for girly boys. This is a real man folks.

Lifting with a weird bro-split for 4-5 months.
Still DYEL as fuck. (70kg squat/dl/bench)
Switching to a powered up SS with half gomad.

Used to be a dedicated jogger. (14km every other day at 13km/h)
