not full ROM like scooby
or full rom on a bench
Which way is the correct way?
anybody?
I'm actually kinda curious about this too. I do know both work but not sure if one is superior. Not full range of motion would put more time in stress on the muscles but full ROM would give it that full stretch that is needed as well. You could always do a month of each and see what works best for your body?

You can still get big from half-assing ego lifts. Steroid help a lot in this case, but you'll see plenty of big guys on Youtube and at the gym who don't use full ROM.
Full ROM and pausing between eccentric and concentric movement is for legitimizing your strength.

Thanks for the replies, I was worried that coming down to elbows below parallel would be bad for your shoulders. Probably broscience tho because many fitness youtubers do dumbell presses on a bench and bring their elbows below parallel

bellow parralel is fine just understand that lower than a certain degree, depending on your leverages, will put more strain on your anterior shoulder.
so the heavier you go the more fatigued you will be, in a shorter amount of time, so compensate.
lighter wight, more control, slower reps, = lower.
higher weight, less contrl, more for trenght, = dont go as low, youll fuck up

There isn't a "correct way".
There's a trade off between using full ROM and using a higher load. You'll probably be better off with more ROM.
Get this idea of "right vs wrong" out of your head. Training is rarely that black and white.
