IS THIS TRUE?

No, your friend is retarded. Though just to be safe, what kind of fasting are you doing famalam?
Only if you go too fast.

I can't help you if you don't give me any info, baby boy.

I did a 5 day fast then re-feed for two days, now i am trying to go for a longer period of time like two weeks. I have had good results from prolonged fasting so far. I did short term fasting and lost some fat so now I have been trying to stretch it out because of something I learned about Autophagy. From what I understand is you have to be in a starvation state for longer then 2 days to get this to actually happen. The whole premise is that your cells start fighting each other and the strong ones kill the weaker ones then when you refeed the strong ones reproduce more cells making your stronger.

yeah, that's pretty fucking stupid senpai
>>39776054
But I feel leaner and actually seemed like I gained back more lean muscle tissue with less fat.

Oof. I would not go this route if I were you. The stretches you're doing it at are likely doing more harm than good and I can see why your friend would be concerned now.

I actually did shorter fasting periods. The thing is I never got into a phase were I activated Autophagy. I honestly think that if a person has a higher body fat composition and insulin is more resistant then longer fast are more beneficial.

In three days this happens, for example.
I mean Muslims fast for a month a whole year and I never seen news storied about them dropping dead and canceling the practice as a result.

They only fast during the daylight.

At least research psmf if you're gonna fast

Well, catholics do it. The point is how many people have have actually died from prolonged fasting and what is the limit you can actually go with no food before you actually hit a real starvation mode?
>The annual tomfoolery of Mardi Gras is about to come to an end as practicing Catholics prepare for the Lenten season. For 40 days and 40 nights, followers traditionally sacrifice something
The world record is a year of fasting but the guy was obese.
>>39775911
yes, i fasted once and i died
>>39776167
Okay, just wanted to make sure. You pretty much died a in a couple days?

Fasting for Jews means completely abstaining from food and drink, including water. Traditionally observant Jews fast six days of the year.

You know that fasting is a really, really, really bad way to lose weight, right?
>>39776214
From what I understand lowering calories to lose weight is actually more detrimental to your materialism then fasting.
