I'm 18% bf.
Looking to lose 5kg.
10 lbs a month is exactly where I'm at. It's achievable around a 1250 calorie deficit but you NEED to count macros and get a shitload of protein or else say goodbye to your muscles. Even so you will still lose some muscle, 10 lbs a month is not a good idea if you're already well built.

same poster, you also need to facilitate the 1250 cal deficit by simply making your TDEE really high. Eating 750 cals a day with 2000 TDEE is not going to be sustainable at all since you're not even eating half of your expenditure. Instead, do your lifting of course, and do plenty of cardio on top of it (or having a labor job helps). Ideally you can get your TDEE to 3000, allowing you plenty opportunity to get your macros in within 1750 calories a day.
Of course the exercise needs to be limited to an extent as well or else it will be counter-productive and just facilitate more muscle loss.
The point is that 10 lbs a week is 9/10 not ideal for several reasons but this is the way to do it.

Losing 10 lbs of weight is easy. It can come from fat, muscle, or water.
Losing 10 lbs of fat is harder, because such a large fat loss means you're probably losing muscle as well.

I've been in this region of weight loss for about 5 months straight now - my tdee is only around 2500 (hour of light-moderate cardio every day).
I eat between 800 and 1200 calories each day, I eat lots of different things and yeah prioritise protein (though I don't lift at all and don't really have any muscle anyway). Currently at 209 lbs down from 264 ~6 months ago. Have had bigger and smaller months in that time but not kept super close track.

Easily. When I first started getting /fit/ (previous fatty) I lost 5kg in a week.

He clearly said 10 pounds of fat not bodyweight
