I'm gonna start lifting for the first time in my life.

Tell me all your mistakes and all the advices you can give me.

Also are machines good? Or should i do only dumbells and weight bars to go straight to the muscle.

Machines are fine, cables are fine. Free weights are >>best<<. Make sense?

Also don't do a 5 day brosplit. That works if you're on Vitamin S. If you're not, you should do an upper/lower split, PPL, etc.

but seriously, anyone will tell you that consistency is what matters the most

do whatever for gaining strength/muscle, it's all pretty much the same for beginners. machines, dumbbells, barbells, doesn't matter. don't listen to the elitists.

just pick something and start it NOW. no routine hopping.

eat properly, do your cardio and stretching, sleep well.

dont overcomplicate it. pls read sticky for details.
