Grayskull LP is excellent. Gzcl is also very good in my opinion. They're both good programs for getting bigger and stronger without being too powerlifting specific.

Powerlifting specific programs are appropriate when you need it for competition, but they can be a lot of drudgery and sometimes they're not very much fun. Not to mention they're often not very well-rounded for general fitness.

A method that you could use to determine which is easier is just to use a 2RM.

Take your 1Rm, divide it by 0.95 and use the number you get to determine whether it would easier to add reps or add weight. If the weight you're adding totals below the new number, it will be easier to add weight than reps. If the new total is ABOVE the 1RM/0.95 number, it will be easier to add reps rather than add weight.

These are just estimates though of course but by using this method, I'd say for you it would be easier to pull 420x1 than 405x2
