local gym made a facebook post. translated, it said:
"Yesss, Tomorrow it's time for HIIT training from Iris again. Go hard for 30 minutes!
Below are the benefits of this awesome class:
1. Surplus post-training oxygen consumption rises after HIIT training (EPOC effect). it'll help you burn even more calories, even after you're already done working out! sit on the couch and keep burning calories. a real after-burn!
2. growth hormone. stimulating the production of growth hormone is the secret to rapidly change your body shape. during HIIT your body makes a lot of growth hormones. you're also engaging not only your slow twitch muscle fibers, but also your fast twitch muscle fibers"
Can anyone give me a bullshit check?

Yes it's correct.
It's not so much bullshit. High Intensity Interval training has those benefits.
What is bullshit is 'go hard for 30 minutes'. If you're truly doing HIIT you're not doing a working period of more than 10 minutes. 5 minutes either side to warm up and cool down and that's it.
If it takes 30 mins it's not 'intense' enough and is just regular old interval training.

>you're also engaging not only your slow twitch muscle fibers, but also your fast twitch muscle fibers"
i doubt HIIT engages type 2b fibres. most likely only 2a. and if you are serious about strength, then doing too much long cardio is actually bad because 2a fibers adapt to whatever you do so you would be biasing them towards endurance instead of strength
Interval training is pretty useful. I would definitely go if that pic is "Iris"

Bruh they do what brings them money, no one cares if you think that's broscience.
> stimulating the production of growth hormone is the secret to rapidly change your body shape
this sounds fishy.

Its probably technically correct.
