Hello /fit/
So to cut this as short as possible, I'm white, 6.1"
and quite overweight. I wish to join the British Army and my recruitment officer told me it's a no go on my entry unless I shed at least a pound.
Friend from army is back over the holidays dragging me to gym everyday but we do separate circuits because he's a good friend. My problem is my muscles aren't recovering and I want to lose weight not gain muscle mass, what am I doing wrong if my muscles are in agony when I'm training light? Should I continue this training?
I am a dumbass as well as a fatass as I meant to say I need to lose 17 pound not a single pound.

You will lose more weight doing exercise. Especially if you eat at a caloric deficit. Exercise burns calories. Read the sticky

Also your muscles will hurt after the first few times. Take a couple of days to recover if you must

I am eating around 800 calories strict meal times no snacks no salt fruits and veggies
Should I just plow through the pain?

If you wanna do it fast, then yeah do it. But ease up on the deficit if you want to get it done in a year. I have eaten like shit, but at a deficit for a year and lost 80lbs.
