Is rope climbing a good exercise for upper body strength in general, and grip strength in particular?

Her proportions are as unique as they are beautiful.
I have one in my back yard it's 20 feet. I do it arms only and it's fun. It's pretty CNS intensive though especially since I'm 225 so I can't do too much volume on it yet and by that I mean if I go up to the top and back down once my muscles are dead and I'll be lucky to get one third up if I try again. Also it's kinda scary cause if I fuck up I'm going to hit the ground hard.

I've been doing this at arm wrestling practice, getting some cross training in so I can do a rope swing one armed next summer while I drink shitty beer with other hand
