Old guy here. It was very much overrated and made more drama in my life than could be balanced out by mutual orgasms. My advice? Concentrate your energies on school and career, and if you manage to find a decent, non-batshit-insane woman that wants to marry you (when you're no younger than your late 20s to early 30s!) then go for it and make it work. The sex will get old after a while, it will no matter what you do, but at least you'll have someone that understands you to talk to.
