based off of my own experience, cardio absolutely wrecks training, even if it's only a week. I'm also basing my view off of what CWS says here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k7_kCLHOl_0 about conflicting training. obviously if it's only a couple of cardio workouts it won't be the end of the world, but it won't be beneficial to 1rm strength. if anything, it's a detriment.

yeah I guess lel. my experience with it is that if I ever do cardio, whether it's running, biking, whatever, my squat and bench absolutely die. deadlift seems to be immune to it though. I don't know why.

Yeah, it was stupidly minor though. Avoided anything that would aggravate it, only core work I would do was anti flexion/anti rotation. Didn't deadlift for a while, but once I learned to brace properly, I did it and eventually the pain went away. Took about 18 months for me.

Yeah it only allows the weight and rep count, it doesn't take into account how many sets.

I use it every time I increase my lifts by 2.5kg, so once I've completed 3x5 and move up to the next increment I'll do that weight next session and hope I'll hit 5 reps which is when I'll update my numbers on symmetric. I don't go for 1 rep maxes yet, haven't found a convenient time to do them.

But you have to practise getting the bar motionless on the chest. It's not just pause, it will only receive the press command if it's motionless.

You did get it motionless, but it took you a while. The bar kept going down slightly after you paused. If the ref giving the command was a very strict one, you'd end up pausing for a very long time. And pausing lowers power output, so we want to minimize it as much as we can.
